What Is Social Studies?

Social studies is the integrated study of the social sciences and humanities to promote civic competence.Within the school program, social studies provides coordinated, systematic study drawing upon such disciplines as anthropology, archaeology, economics, geography, history, law, philosophy, political science, psychology, religion, and sociology, as well as appropriate content from the humanities, mathematics, and natural sciences. The primary purpose of social studies is to help young people develop the ability to make informed and reasoned decisions for the public good as citizens of a culturally diverse, democratic society in an interdependent world.
Social studies is taught in kindergarten through grade 12 in schools across the nation. As a field of study, social studies may be more difficult to define than is a single discipline such as history or geography, precisely because it is multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary and because it is sometimes taught in one class (perhaps called "social studies") and sometimes in separate discipline-based classes within a department of social studies. Two main characteristics, however, distinguish social studies as a field of study: it is designed to promote civic competence; and it is integrative, incorporating many fields of endeavor. In specific and more detailed terms, these distinctions mean the following:
Social studies programs have as a major purpose the promotion of civic competence-which is the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required of students to be able to assume "the office of citizen" (as Thomas Jefferson called it) in our democratic republic. Although civic competence is not the only responsibility of social studies nor is it exclusive to the field, it is more central to social studies than any other subject area in the schools.
National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) has long supported civic competence as the goal of social studies. By doing so, NCSS has recognized the importance of educating students who are committed to the ideas and values of our democratic republic and who are able to use knowledge about their community, nation, and world, along with skills of data collection and analysis, collaboration, decision-making, and problem-solving. Students who have these commitments, knowledge, and skills will be the most capable of shaping our future and sustaining and improving our democracy. K–12 social studies programs integrate knowledge, skills, and attitudes within and across disciplines.
Social studies programs help students construct a knowledge base and attitudes drawn from academic disciplines as specialized ways of viewing reality. Each discipline begins from a specific perspective and applies unique “processes for knowing” to the study of reality. History, for instance, uses the perspective of time to explore causes and effects of events in the past. Political science, on the other hand, uses the perspective of political institutions to explore structures and processes of governing.

10 Ways for Making Your Self Confidence

1. Keep a positive crowd.
The people you hang out with can either drag you down or lift you up. Since we spend so much of our time with other people it’s important to keep positive – or at least reasonably neutral – people around you as much as you can. One or a few negative people can affect you in a big way – perhaps through nagging – and pull you down day after day.
2. Keep a positive intake of information, influence and emotions.
Much of the news and society brings a bleak and negative picture of both the world and yourself to your doorstep each day. Just like the people that surround you the information that surrounds you can affect you in big way. Don’t just stay passive and take it all in. Choose what you want to watch, hear and read. Choose what´s useful and beneficial for you.
3. Positive thinking
Learning to see the world and your life through a more positive lens can be a bit difficult and takes some time. Especially if you’ve spent several years with a negative view on things. Have a look at Take the Positivity Challenge! for pointers on how to change your mindset to a more positive one.
4. Compare yourself to yourself. Not to others.
This will eliminate a lot of unnecessary pain in your life. The thing is if you pass one person then you’ll just find another person more successful than you. And your brief sense of being a winner will once again transform into anxiety and fear. Focus on yourself, not the other people around you, no matter if they are more or less successful. Compare yourself to yourself. Improve yourself and see how you grow and become a more successful, more confident and happier person.
5. Redefine failure.
How you view failure controls how much your confidence drops before or after a failure. The definition of failure we are brought up with in society might not be the best and most useful to have. If you look at the most successful people you quickly notice that they have a different response to failure than the more common one.
They don’t take failure or rejection that seriously. They know it’s not the end of the world if they fail. Instead they look at each failure and see the good part: what they can learn from it and improve next time.
They have an abundance-mentality. They know that if their first business-venture fails it feels like crap for a while but it’s ok in the long run. They learn from it and then they try again. If they are rejected for date, do they give up? Probably not. They know that next week or the week after they might find someone else that’s interesting and ask them out.
They know that there are a lot of good people out there. That there are a lot of good business opportunities out there. But they have also learned that to become successful at anything you have to fail perhaps 5, 10, 20 times or more.
You have work on your skills to sharpen them. See failure or rejection not as something incredible negative that might end your life if it strikes. Redefine it in your mind to lessen the negative emotional impact and the fear. See failure simply as feedback on what you need to improve on. Listen to the advice the failure gives you and you will improve. And, by redefining failure this way your level of confidence will not take a drastic drop every time you fail or fear failure.
6. Compliment other people
When we think negatively about ourselves, we often project that feeling on to others in the form of insults and gossip. To break this cycle of negativity, get in the habit of praising other people. Refuse to engage in backstabbing gossip and make an effort to compliment those around you. In the process, you’ll become well liked and build self confidence. By looking for the best in others, you indirectly bring out the best in yourself.
7. Sit in the front row

In schools, offices, and public assemblies around the world, people constantly strive to sit at the back of the room. Most people prefer the back because they’re afraid of being noticed. This reflects a lack of self confidence. By deciding to sit in the front row, you can get over this irrational fear and build your self confidence. You’ll also be more visible to the important people talking from the front of the room.

8. Speak up
During group discussions many people never speak up because they’re afraid that people will judge them for saying something stupid. This fear isn’t really justified. Generally, people are much more accepting than we imagine. In fact most people are dealing with the exact same fears. By making an effort to speak up at least once in every group discussion, you’ll become a better public speaker, more confident in your own thoughts, and recognized as a leader by your peers.
9. Work out
Along the same lines as personal appearance, physical fitness has a huge effect on self confidence. If you’re out of shape, you’ll feel insecure, unattractive, and less energetic. By working out, you improve your physcial appearance, energize yourself, and accomplish something positive. Having the discipline to work out not only makes you feel better, it creates positive momentum that you can build on the rest of the day.
10. Focus on contribution
Too often we get caught up in our own desires. We focus too much on ourselves and not enough on the needs of other people. If you stop thinking about yourself and concentrate on the contribution you’re making to the rest of the world, you won’t worry as much about you own flaws. This will increase self confidence and allow you to contribute with maximum efficiency. The more you contribute to the world the more you’ll be rewarded with personal success and recognition.

If There's A Question Tell About Love

Thou shalt then say:

All Love on the basis of the love of God that is true love, all the love that leads one to obey God's true love. Because love is chastity, sacrifice, perseverance in keeping one's word, sincerity in carrying out God's command.

Love is a covenant and agreement ...

Love is the water of life even he is the secret of life ...

Love is the delicacy of spirit even he is the spirit of life ...

With love to light all the darkness ... life will be bright .. will dance and be a clean heart ...

With love all errors will be forgiven ...

with the omission would love all forgiven ...

raised with the love of good sense ...

Even if not with love, then it will not bend the branches together with the other branches ...

Even if it were not for love will not stoop to the female deer males, will not cry, dry land to the dark cloud, and the earth will not laugh at the flowers in the spring ....

When love is hollow in the life of the soul will be narrow and there was dissension and discord.

When love has gone, the flowers will wilt, the light goes out, will pendeklah age, will dry lake in the wilderness and will come and go and miserable disease.

When love has gone ... that's when the bees leave the flower, when it left the cage sparrows, finches also when it does not descend again at the top of the fir.

Had the ocean has a shore And except that the river has a mouth, the coastal ocean and love is not love does not comes down to the river.

Learning FOREX for DUMMIES !!!

Usually these books begin with the author stating how she or he got into the currency market. They might recount an anecdote of their college years, when they made XXX amount of dollars on a chance trade. Other authors use these first sentences to describe how awesome and immense the currency market is. I’m not going to follow suit.

I’d like to begin this book by offering you flattering compliments. Think of it as an added incentive to keep you reading. That said, did you lose weight, Champ? It’s a very good look. And I must say that I love what you did to the place, you’re an artist.

There you have it; you just received a good dose of compliments and the general “voice” of this book. You picked this book up because you want to learn about the forex market and how to trade successfully on the forex markets. To a first-time trader, this can sound like a daunting task. Reader, fear not. I’m going to walk you through everything you need to know about the forex markets and will do so in a manner that’s friendly, fun, soothing, and very easy to comprehend.

There’s a lot of information in this book but I know you’ll be able to fly through it and understand everything completely. If at any point you find that there’s something that’s unclear, please visit our website at www.fxclub.com to find your answer. And if your answer isn’t there, you can send your question to info@fxclub.com and Forex Club’s expert customer service team will be sure to give you an answer.

It’s important for you to realize that even professional forex traders make losses from time to time. All biases aside, I want you to view every trade you make, every price movement you watch, and every emotion you feel – good or bad – as a learning experience. As a novice to the market, you are a clump of clay; formless, colorless and with no direction as to what you will become. Every step forward that you take in your learning process will mold you into something better than you were.

When you are happy with a trade that you made, bless your pips, and learn how to duplicate that trade. When you’re upset with a trade that you made, move through it, and learn from your mistake.

So, sit down someplace nice, make yourself cozy, and pour yourself a nice drink. Let’s learn about forex.
